Calgary to Mexico - $347 (CB) to $545 CAD roundtrip including taxes [Nonstop Flights]

WestJet has dropped the price of their flights from Calgary to various places in Mexico down to between $347 and $448 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights are nonstop both ways.

I consider $347 to $448 roundtrip to be WestJet's clickbait (CB) prices because they don't include checked luggage or carry-on. Not exactly a realistic way to travel. It's a price offered primarily to appear to be the cheapest in search engines and then upsell you.

$449 to $545 roundtrip is the more realistic price because at least it includes checked luggage.

But those with the WestJet World Elite credit card can take advantage of the clickbait prices as it includes free checked luggage.

1. Start with one of the following Google Flights searches:

Google Flights: Calgary to Tepic, Mexico - $347
^^ December, January, February

Google Flights: Calgary to Huatulco, Mexico - $348
^^ November, December ($459)

Google Flights: Calgary to Tulum, Mexico - $352
^^ December

Google Flights: Calgary to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - $376
^^ November

Google Flights: Calgary to Loreto, Mexico - $391
^^ December and late January

Google Flights: Calgary to Puerto Escondido, Mexico - $405
^^ January

Google Flights: Calgary to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico - $423
^^ November to February

Google Flights: Calgary to Zihuatanejo, Mexico - $425
^^ November, early December

Google Flights: Calgary to Manzanillo, Mexico - $448

- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.

- Explore for the cheapest dates by adjusting the trip length at the bottom.

- Look for the dates that are $347 to $448 roundtrip.

2. At this point, there are a few different ways you can book these flights...

For $343 to $448 roundtrip. This includes *only* a personal item (something that can fit under the seat in front of you).

- Those with the WestJet World Elite credit card can still bring free checked bags and may find this fare useful.

- To book this price go to Skyscanner or Kayak

- Try the same destination and dates you found on Google Flights.

*OR*

For $449 to $545 roundtrip. This includes a personal item and a checked bag. But not carry-on.

- To book this price click through from Google Flights to the WestJet website using the 'Ultrabasic' fare.

- While clicking through, you may notice that under 'Ultrabasic' Google Flights shows a checked bag as $146. This is incorrect.

Once you click through to the WestJet website and go through a few pages into the booking process you'll see that you can add a checked bag for $102 roundtrip.
