WestJet has dropped the price of their flights from Calgary to Campbell River on Vancouver Island down to between $176 and $322 CAD roundtrip including taxes. The flights are nonstop both ways. These nonstop flights between Calgary and Campbell River (YBL) are new for WestJet this season.

I consider $176 roundtrip to be WestJet's clickbait (CB) price because it doesn't include checked luggage or carry-on. Not exactly a realistic way to travel. It's a price offered primarily to appear to be the cheapest in search engines and then upsell you. $322 roundtrip is the more realistic price because at least it includes checked luggage. But those with the WestJet World Elite credit card can take advantage of the clickbait price as it includes free checked luggage.

You can also find vice-versa flights (Campbell River to Calgary) for a similar roundtrip price.

WestJet has dropped the price of their winter flights from Calgary to Puerto Escondido, Mexico down to between $379 and $488 CAD roundtrip including taxes. The flights are nonstop both ways. This is a new route for WestJet (added today).

I consider $379 roundtrip to be WestJet's clickbait (CB) price because it doesn't include checked luggage or carry-on. Not exactly a realistic way to travel. It's a price offered primarily to appear to be the cheapest in search engines and then upsell you. $488 roundtrip is the more realistic price because at least it includes checked luggage. But those with the WestJet World Elite credit card can take advantage of the clickbait price as it includes free checked luggage.

Puerto Escondido is most famous for their excellent surfing. The beaches are beautiful but many can be too aggressive for swimming. There are a few bays that are calmer though (Carazillo being one of the most popular and Angelito for little kids). Puerto Escondido is not really an all inclusive resort town. I think there's maybe one or two hotels that offer some pricey 'add on' meal or activity packages (such as the Posada Real).
