Calgary to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | $936 roundtrip after taxes

United Airlines just dropped the price of their Calgary to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam flights 20% below the next cheapest competitor (China Southern). It's been a while since Calgary has experienced sub-$1000 flights to Southeast Asia and they're a pretty rare find these days.
This is an unadvertised price drop and looks to have affected a lot of fares in November 2013, a few random fares in January 2014 and February 2014, and a few more in March 2014.
Here are some example searches to get you started: You can click through from Kayak to United.com to book. United.com sometimes has issues with Canadian credit cards, so you may want to take your dates and try them on United.ca, or Orbitz.
You can also try searching on Google Flights Explorer, and then click through from there to United, which will quote in CAD dollars for booking. Here's the link: https://www.google.ca/flights/explore/#explore;f=YYC;t=SGN;li=10;lx=14;d=2013-10-11.

December to early March are generally the driest months in Ho Chi Minh City and probably the most ideal time to vist.
Being an unadvertised price drop, it's impossible to say when United will put their fares back up.
