Air Canada Releases 2 Promo codes and WestJet Sale

Air Canada released 2 promo codes today...

Promotion code NQPMBWP1 - Save 10% on any fare for travel within North America, Europe or Sun destinations (including Hawaii and Mexico).

Promotion code FQ4FF7J1 - Save 15% on any fare for travel off Asia, South Pacific (Australia) and Latin America/South America.

Full details: https://www.AirCanada.com/en/offers/air/websaver_fares/websaver_fares.html

WestJet also claims to be having a 72 hour sale. Full details are here:

http://www.westjet.com/guest/en/travelOffers/seatSale1.shtml?s_cid=WJ-Int-Gu-En-HPFBA-72HourSeatSale-20101012

Of course, not all of the fares they claim are on sale are necessarily a good deal. The Kelowna/Kamloops/Vancouver fares look decent. Las Vegas too.

Nice job staying on top of these deals, always appreciated... Too bad AC doesn't apply the discount to their outrageous fuel surcharges to overseas destinations. People rag on other carriers like United for having baggage charges, but when their fares are $300 cheaper than AC, who cares about the $50 baggage fee?

Oddly enough, the fuel surcharge from YYC-NRT is more than YYC-SYD, when SYD is a much greater distance. Interesting how the fuel surcharge is higher on the business routes, than on the leisure routes regardless of distance.

Thanks Tyler, very interesting about the fuel surcharge difference, I never noticed that.
