Calgary to Alaska - $510 roundtrip after taxes - through to August 2013

There's some unusually cheap fares from Calgary to Alaska occurring on Air Canada, Delta, and United at the moment. The typical bottom price to Alaska is around $700 roundtrip after taxes, with summer fares being even higher, in the range of $800-$900ish.
So it was a great surprise today to see fares throughout the schedule that were 30-40% cheaper than their typical bottom price. Significant price movement to Alaska is unusual, and I'm struggling to think of another time where I've seen a fare war to there from anywhere in Canada.
It looks to have affected fares all the way up to August 2013!

1. Search for a flight to Anchorage, Alaska on Google Flights

2. Click on the Calendar icon - this is an important step, as it shows you where the cheapest fares are occurring throughout the year.
3. When you see a date range you like, click on it. Then scroll down and choose your outbound flight. And then choose your return flight. And then click on Book with Air Canada, or Book with United, or Book with Delta, whatever the case may be.

I've been waiting a long time for this! Turkey has always been near the top of my list of places on this planet that I want to check out (and it's a long list). Fares are *never* cheap though, and usually hover around a minimum of $1300-$1400 roundtrip after taxes.
