Japan is a great place to vacation. Just went last year in early October and had a wonderful time. In Tokyo, shibuya is another area that is great to stay. If you plan on travelling around definitely invest in the Japan rail pass. It's especially nice because you can reserve seats ahead of time. Favorite places: Kyoto, Himeji, and Osaka.

The photo is of Landmark Tower and Queen's Plaza in Yokohama. Make sure you go see it! Totally worth the hour trip from Tokyo station to Sakuragicho. You will need a boat to see it at the exact angle in the photo, but you can get close using the paths on the reclaimed land shown on either side.

I'll admit that my sole reason for wanting to visit Yokohama was to check out the 'underwater' roller coaster that I had seen pictures of floating around the Internet years ago.

The brightly lit, multi-colored ferris wheel was a nice surprise!
