There are some insane open jaw flight prices out there, where you fly from Calgary to Vietnam and then fly home from Manila, Philippines to Calgary - all for just $471 CAD including taxes.
Getting from one country to the other
It typically costs around $130 CAD (or less) to fly from Vietnam to the Philippines.
Tip: For flights from Vietnam to the Philippines, have a look at Cebu Pacific Air. They don't show up on many travel search engines, but have non-stop flights for around $96 to $123 USD.
If you change it to 'United States of America English' in the top right corner before you search, the prices will be in $USD, instead of the Philippine peso.

1. Start with a search like this on Google Flights ...

Click on the departure date box to try other dates.
Focus on Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu dates in the months listed above to see what's available.
2. Click through from Google Flights to the United website.

You may also be able to find these for slightly cheaper by searching on Momondo.ca - And if you can't seem to book them from Google Flights (some dates work, some don't), it's also worth trying from Momondo.
Click on 'Trip Type' and change it to 'Multiple Destinations'
Search for a flight like this:

Chris, Is this flight deals round trip or just one way. I clicked the site and put the dates i want to travel and it showed me the price and then at the bottom of the deal it shows prices for a return trip.

Wow, thanks for the great tip!! Just followed your instructions and booked Jan 9 Yyc to SGN, return MNL to YYC Mar 23. Booked through the UA link at the bottom of the Google flight page. Under $500 CAD all in per person. We will escape most of the Canadian winter ????????. Love your site

Just tried booking this deal for February. Google said $436 - called to book and the lady quoted me for $3969. :( Not so much a deal...
Yeah, when Google Flights can't verify a price anymore, it just puts up a 'call the airline' message.
These ones have been around for a while now, and availability could be getting sparse.
I just tried Feb 6 to 20 on Google Flights though, and it was able to verify the price, after clicking through to United.

Feb 6 to 23 is also working, for $470 CAD through Google Flights to United.
For the journey there, pick the third flight, the one that says 'United, ANA'
For the journey home, pick the first flight, the one that says 'ANA, Air Canada'

These are still out there, but you may need to play around with the dates and/or the flight choices that come up on Google Flights.
