Air Canada has dropped the price of their 1-stop flights (via Vancouver) from Calgary to Brisbane, Australia down to $976 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
This is 44% below the typical best roundtrip price from Calgary to Brisbane.
It's about a 60 to 90 min drive or train ride from Brisbane to the famous Gold Coast.
Availability for travel
September, October, and November 2016 (spring-time in Australia)
How to find and book these flights
1. Go to the Air Canada website (make sure you're using their new beta version of the website)
2. Enter the following promo code: BRISBANE15
3. Search for a flight from Calgary to Brisbane, Australia (BNE) in September, October, or November 2016.

Update 7/21 - After receiving quite a few messages from people mentioning that they couldn't find these flights to Brisbane, I've noticed something interesting...
Air Canada has been testing out a new version of their website.
If you enter the promo code and search for these flights on their old website, you will be greeted with a message that says 'Unfortunately, no flight results were found for the search criteria you have entered. '
But if you enter the promo code (BRISBANE15) and search for these flights on their *new* website, it will work just fine.

I've updated the links in the blog post to go to Air Canada's new website (which is still in it's testing phase).
